This is why I moved back home.
Sometimes I really love living in the South. It’s almost Christmas and I’m still picking flowers in my yard:
It’s seventy-five degrees and sunny today. It’s great.
Eight years.
Today’s my last day in the Individual Ready Reserve. Exactly eight years ago tomorrow, I enlisted in the Army. Three years ago in March, I left active duty. Starting tomorrow, there will no longer be any context where I use SGT in front of my name instead of Ms. It’s a little weird.
Eight years is a long time, and I guess that’s all I have to say about it.
Office supply voyeurism.
I cleaned my desk today! No longer is it a storage space for a pile of stuff! Since I love those “post your workspace” things (almost as much as I love the whole “what’s in your bag?” meme), I took a picture:
You know what else? I really, really like the way office supply stores smell. I had to go to Office Depot earlier to get a mouse pad, and I noticed that. Bookstores and office supply stores. Maybe I just like the smell of paper?
